BBEC is delighted to announce the launch of our Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme for Year 9 students. This fantastic opportunity is available free of charge to all participating students and comes just in time for the spring and summer seasons.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) enables students to develop and achieve in a range of areas, including Physical Activity, Volunteering, and Skills. Participants will then progress to a two-day expedition, which includes an overnight camping experience in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

The DofE offers a wide range of benefits. In addition to achieving a nationally recognised award, students develop valuable qualities such as resilience, independence, teamwork, and leadership. The programme also provides opportunities to make new friendships, discover new interests, learn practical skills, and make a positive contribution to the BBEC community.

DofE Awards are highly regarded by colleges, universities, and employers. At the highest level, recipients of the Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award are invited to receive their award at either Buckingham Palace or the Palace of Holyroodhouse, recognising their outstanding commitment and achievement.
