What is an Ofsted Report?

Ofsted is the official body set up by the government for inspecting schools and ensuring quality standards are met. An inspection report sets out to highlight the main strengths and areas in need of improvement with a school or college. The Ofsted report is produced by a team of school inspectors to assess how a school is performing against a range of predetermined targets. The inspection covers many aspects of care and education and grades its findings using the following standards.

The Ofsted inspections are usually held about every three to four years.
