Welcome to the Enterprise Academy
What is our Ethos?
We are an Inclusive Academy that strives to improve students leadership and enterprise skills. We often have projects where we compete nationally against other schools. We also have creative projects where we make products to sell, usually raising money for local charities.
What are some of the activities for 2014 and 2015?
We are currently working with the Peter Jackson Enterprise Academy with our project for the Tycoon in schools.
We have also just sent our student entries for the Coca-Cola Challenge.
Three Year 9 groups have taken part in the real business experience and we hope to hear back from the judges soon.
The beginning of November sees the start of the IFS student investor challenge, which has teams of students trading shares on a virtual stock exchange to see who can make the most money. You can also see if you can earn more than some teachers who are taking part.
We are also hoping to create some projects such as teacup candles and resin Christmas tree decorations.
When are our regular sessions?
Sessions take place every Monday after school in R111 or R103 with Mrs S-J Pattison.
Please ask any student in an Enterprise Academy uniform on a Friday about their Academy and they should be keen to talk to you.
There are lots of pictures available on the Academy frog site.
Some of our successes from 2014
A brief review of successes in 2013-2014 lots of info and pictures of our last projects here.
